Hermes

Hermes is one of the twelve Olympian Gods of Greece, and serves as Their messenger and herald. He's a wily and crafty one, though good on the whole; He is famous for stealing His brother Apollo's entire flock of cattle when only one day old. When confronted in the cradle, He protested that He was only a baby, for goodness sake! Apollo wasn't convinced, incidentally.

Hermes is also credited with inventing all kinds of things, from the lyre to sandals. He is the patron of both merchants and, of course, thieves.

He is also said to be the bringer of dreams.
