Loki

Loki is the Norse trickster-God, blood brother of Odin and friend to Thor, Who despite being the butt of many of Loki's jokes, never quite seems to catch on. Thor may not be the brightest bulb.

Loki's first wife was the giantess Angrboda, and His second the faithful Sigyn. He is the father of the Underworld Goddess Hel, the Midgard Serpent, and the Fenris-wolf. He is also the mother of Sleipnir, Odin's eight-legged steed. It's a long story.

Loki has this habit of making mischief, then getting caught and called on the carpet to make amends; He then, typically, comes up with a scheme that seems to go well at first but then inevitable goes south horribly. In the end, however, somehow, by the skin of His teeth, it not only works out, but works out spectacularly well. I don't think anyone knows how He does it. Not even Him.
