Description

Anuket is the Ancient Egyptian Goddess of the Nile in the area around the First Cataract, where the river flows over a rocky stretch making navigation difficult.  She was revered there since ancient times and personified the bounty of the River.  Her name means 'The Clasper' because at that location the Nile flows between high steep banks.  The First Cataract traditionally marked the ancient border with Nubia; I have given Her Nubian features accordingly.
Digital art done in Photoshop to look like a lithographed Art Deco poster; as that style was heavily influenced by Ancient Egyptian art in the first place I thought it appropriate.

I love the water drops pattern on her hair! You make very interesting compositions with these graphic elements.
